Romy’s First Day of School

Romy is a new student in our class and we think that she is wonderful. She had a great first day and we cannot wait to get to know her more.

About Me

I graduated from Brigham Young University in April 2010 with a Bachelors Degree in Global Studies. After graduation I received a job teaching English to students of varying ages (8-60 yr. olds) in South Korea. I was able to teach classes and one-on-one sessions over the internet. I grew so much from this experience in knowing how to effectively teach. After a few months I began teaching at The Montessori Learning Center. Miss Ali trained me in Montessori and as I learned more and more, I realized how important this educational style is to children. I love that we are able to let children develop at their own speed. We are able to provide an environment for them to do this most effectively with the least amount of interference from adults. Not only does Montessori allow them to develop intellectually, but Miss Ali has created an environment where children develop socially as well. The goal is to establish intellectual and honorable individuals. These wonderful children know school subjects along with social etiquette, honesty, and hard work. This is why I love this school, because it is not enough to only care about the intellectual development of a child. I love my job so much and what I am learning at this school will undoubtedly aid me in raising intellectual and honorable children of my own in the future.
